GPBOR C.A.R.E. is a charitable foundation. Funds are raised for RI non-profits through donations from REALTORS®, Affiliates, sponsors, and donors like you. The funds are awarded annually through a grant application process detailed below.
GPBOR C.A.R.E. has selected the following charities for 2025: The Mae Organization (their mission is to promote healing and mental wellness for at-risk individuals affected by homelessness by providing basic life needs such as food, shelter, and support) and The Empowerment Factory (they are dedicated to giving children skills they need to lead happier, healthier, more empowered lives. They primarily serve students in Title 1 schools in Rhode Island’s urban core cities focusing on creativity, self-esteem, and civic pride.)

New! Annual Campaign 6/15/25 – 8/31/25 – please give
Our annual fundraising campaign is in effect from 6/15 – 8/31. Members, friends, neighbors, and industry supporters may make donations through this link. Individual and corporate donations will be accepted. Donors will be recognized on social media and at our 9/10 annual meeting.
2026 Grant Application period closes 6/30/25
RI non-profits will be able to apply for a 2026 grant with our foundation between 4/1/25 – 6/30/25. Click here for the grant application. The 2026 grant recipients will be selected by our Board of Directors in July 2025, and funds will be awarded at our annual meeting in September 2026.
Cinco de Mayo – Fiesta for a Cause Fundraiser 5/1/25

Advancement Committee
The Foundation is seeking volunteers for its NEW Advancement Committee, a group dedicated to driving awareness and supporting resource development for the GPBOR CARE Foundation. The estimated time commitment is 9 hours annually. Learn more here.

Raffle ticket winners announced
Thanks to all who purchased a $25 raffle ticket. Our winners were pulled on 9/13/24. First prize went to Susan Rowles (2025 REALTOR® membership dues) and second prize went to Holly Martin (complimentary registration for NAR’s NXT convention).
GPBOR C.A.R.E. is a 501C3 public charity, registered with the IRS. Established in 2013, our mission is to organize one or more events per year in order to collect and distribute charitable funds to RI non-profit organizations. Those organizations shall qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c-3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

GPBOR C.A.R.E. raised $3,000 for each 2024 sponsored non-profit organizations Foster Forward and Higher Ground International. Checks were presented at our annual meeting on 9/5/24. The Board had previously donated $1,000 to Girls on the Run RI on 401 Gives Day in April 2024.
