Funding Opportunity: GPBOR CARE Grants Open Now for Rhode Island Nonprofit Applications

(Cranston, RI) – The Greater Providence Board of REALTORS® (GPBOR) C.A.R.E. Foundation is pleased to announce that its 2025 grant application process is now open for Rhode Island nonprofit organizations. Applications will be accepted through June 28, 2024. Eligible organizations must be qualified as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Applications are available online at www.gpbor.realtor/gpbor-care-foundation. The deadline for submission is June 28, 2024.

Since its inception, the GPBOR C.A.R.E. Foundation has distributed over $115,000 in support of local nonprofits, including $14,000 in 2023 to two deserving beneficiaries, RISE and We Heart Lives. The current grant cycle aims to continue this tradition of support throughout the 2025 fiscal year.

A volunteer committee composed of local REALTORS® will review all submissions. Selection criteria will focus on the financial health of applicant organizations, the potential impact of the grant, the community served by the organization, the demonstrated need for funding, and the number of Rhode Islanders impacted by the program. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decisions by July 31, 2024.

GPBOR C.A.R.E. (Community Awareness REALTOR® Events) is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and serves as the charitable arm of the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS®, which is a professional trade association with over 2,300 members specializing in real estate and appraisal services.
